Melissa was born in North Carolina and still has family in that area that she visits as often as she can. She is very happily married to Randy Cranford and has two amazing stepchildren as well as two cats.
Melissa served in the United States Air Force and was part of Operation Southern Watch, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Following her USAF career, Melissa attended South University in Columbia and attained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management. She is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Delta Mu Delta International Honors Society in Business. She also attended the Real Estate School for Success and attained a Property Management License.
Currently Melissa teaches classes on the weekends at Carolina Tactical Training. She is a National Rifle Association of America (NRA) and the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) certified concealed carry instructor.
Melissa also is a saltwater aquarium hobbyist and loves to bake and garden. She and has also published novels under a pseudonym.
